There are people
hiding in nations
brave civilians
deaf to the call to arms
pacific islands
of desertion
where love can grow to be strong

for I believe that
every day without love
is a wasted day

Zealous prophets 
rejoice in their profit
on the sale of souls
they trapped with fear
trading sinners and
creating devils
yet, evil lives in those 
who most believe in it


 but I believe that
 every day without love

Oh I fear
the peoples power
turning into the power
to fear
sick of doubting 
for a virtue
visiting the sins
on those who could not gain by them
passing rumours
casting suspicions
superstitions
mad religions
indulging in the rite 
of public sacrifice
